The Feldenkrais Method®
The Feldenkrais Method® is an innovative way of reclaiming effortless & pain-free movement.
We are able to accept insurance for Feldenkrais sessions, through our dual-licensed Occupational Therapist Shara Ogin, the only Occupational Therapist in Colorado who also holds a 4-year Feldenkrais degree.
Using the Feldenkrais Method®, Shara Ogin, OTR, GCFP, specializes in helping chronic and complicated pain patients reach their full potential and reclaim control over their lives through the freedom and ease of movement most of us knew as children.
At our office, Shara Ogin performs hands-on Feldenkrais manual sessions which are deeply relaxing and comforting. As the brain and nervous system are trained to move properly, new muscle memory is created, posture is improved, and pain disappears.
You may also experience improved spinal alignment, balance, as well as more ease with bending, twisting, and rotating in addition to pain relief.
Please wear loose and comfortable clothing.
**Please note, chiropractic work contra-indicated within a couple days post session.

Shara Ogin is a specialist in Holistic Pain Management after working over 25 years as an Occupational Therapist, (primarily in outpatient hand therapy settings), and as a Feldenkrais® somatic practitioner (since 2002), and Ergonomist. She comes from the perspective that injuries, traumas, stresses, and poor postures over time can create habitual holding & overuse patterns. Not only will this result in the body working harder than it needs to, yet it can also result in pain. She is the author of 3 books on health & healing (including A Quick Guide to Easing Pain in the Workplace & Beyond), 6 DVD’s, 1 CD, and 1 online program (Activating the Healing Within). She is also a fitness teacher, a mamma, and an avid outdoor enthusiast!

-Chronic pain sufferers: Clients with back, neck, leg, or arm pain, as well as overuse injuries.
-Post-injury recovery: Those with recent orthopedic injuries. Shara has personally used this method for her own recovery after a hip replacement.
-Those seeking alternatives to traditional therapies: Clients who haven’t found lasting relief through other treatments, (with the exception of pain medications).
-Clients motivated to improve: Those open to exploring the mind-body connection and the ways in which thoughts, behaviors, and posture affect the body.
-Clients who want some ease around their stress, anxiety, &/or stored traumas: the method evokes parasympathetic modulation through vagal nerve stimulation, promoting the release of excessive muscular tension.
