Tomorrow is the first day of fall, which means the skiing and snowboarding season is right around the corner. Here is a workout to prepare for the snow!

TOP 6 EXERCISES TO PREPARE FOR SKI/SNOWBOARD SEASON:

1. Hopping squats: These help build quad strength so you are better able to navigate through powder and transition through bumps and trees.
2. Hopping lunges: Tele skiers, these are a MUST! They help build dynamic strength for all snow sports.
3. Planks and side planks: Your leg power originates in your core, and planks help build your core endurance so you can last on the slopes all day long.
4. Single leg heel raises: Helps you traverse on your toe edge, snowboarders! Also builds calf endurance and control.
5. Single leg lateral hops: Builds lateral strength to protect your knees and for quick turns.
6. Squat jump turns: Tricksters, these will help with your park moves, but skiers and snowboarders alike can benefit from this one—power in the powder!
