Paul Bailey PT, DPT, OCS

Paul, a 2017 graduate of Regis University with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy, brings over 7 years of focused experience in outpatient orthopedics. His expertise includes a Level 2 dry needling certification and an Orthopedic Specialist Certification. Passionate about golf, Paul is certified by the Titleist Performance Institute for golf swing analysis to alleviate pain associated with the swing. Beyond his professional pursuits, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife Rachel and their three young children.
Pam Bohling PT, MHS, OCS

Pam is a 1988 graduate from Colorado State University with a BS in Human Nutrition. In 1990, she completed a BS in Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and went on to earn her advanced Master’s degree (MHS) in Orthopedic Physical Therapy from the University of Indianapolis. She was board-certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 1997 and taught professional continuing education courses nationally from 2004 to 2008. She has been a guest speaker twice for the annual conference for the Colorado Foot and Ankle Society. The topic of her lecture was “Looking up the Kinetic Chain for causes of Mechanical Foot Pain” in 2013 and “Functional Dry Needling: The Neuroplastic Approach to Treating the Lower Extremity” in 2017. She has been trained in numerous manual therapy techniques and uses them extensively. She is trained in trigger point dry needling and has been using it successfully in orthopedic patients as well as patients with Multiple Sclerosis. She feels honored to be voted by her patients and colleagues “Best of the Best” as a Physical Therapist in 2012, 2015 and 2016.
Steven Brentin PT, DPT

Steven graduated from Regis University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2013. He has experience in a variety of settings, treating both acute and chronic orthopedic and neurological conditions. Steven is a strong proponent of evidenced based practice, integrating the most current scientific evidence with the unique perspectives, needs, and values of each patient. He believes his role as a physical therapist is to guide patients through the rehabilitation process using education, specific exercise progressions and a hands-on approach in order to help them restore functional mobility and meet their goals. Steven is certified in functional dry needling and utilizes a variety of manual therapy techniques to facilitate healing and restore function. He has a passion for treating neurological disorders, especially involving dizziness, vertigo and imbalance. He is an active member of both the orthopedic and neurology sections of the American Physical Therapy Association. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife and two children including hiking, rock climbing, cycling, and snowboarding.
Angie Bruflat PT, DPT, NCS

Angie graduated from the University of Colorado with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 and became a Board-Certified Neurologic Specialist in 2013. For her first 12 years of clinical practice, she worked at University of Colorado Hospital (UC Health) on all specialty units of acute care but with a clinical concentration on the acute rehab unit. In this setting, she specialized in helping people with neurologic conditions including brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, vestibular dysfunction, and neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Bruflat worked as a Neurologic Specialist in her clinical role and had the opportunity to work on several initiatives for improving quality of care for people with spinal cord injuries and cerebral vascular accidents, as well as sponsoring and hosting American Physical Therapy Association continuing education courses. In addition to her clinical role, Dr Bruflat has worked for the CU Physical Therapy program for over 10 years. In her role as Associated Faculty and Lecturer, she assists in teaching lab content for Foundational courses, Neuromuscular Conditions I-III, and Motor Control & Motor Learning. She is the primary coordinator for the Applied Neurologic Physical Therapy Elective. She also delivers lecture content on Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and Functional Movement Disorders. In her free time, Dr. Bruflat enjoys painting, reading, yoga, and spending time exploring the outdoors and traveling with her husband and two children.
Kortny Cook PT, DPT, OCS
Arvada
Kortny was born and raised in Arvada. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Physiology at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Then ventured off to Flagstaff, AZ to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree at Northern Arizona University, where she was honored with the Clinical Scholar Award in 2012.
She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist as well as certified in Dry Needling - Level II, Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) - Level II, and as a Pilates Instructor through Body Arts & Sciences International.
In addition to her skills in orthopedics, she also holds a certification in LSVT Big Therapy for Parkinson’s Disease, has experience working with patients who have neurologic conditions like strokes and brain injuries, and has extensive training and experience in vestibular rehabilitation.
Kortny loves treating patients of all ages and strives to incorporate the latest evidence-based practices to guide her decision-making. She aims to take the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and goals, so that they receive individualized and optimal care.
In her spare time, Kortny enjoys traveling, being outdoors, gardening, exercising, and spending time with her husband, daughter, dog, and friends.
Janessa Devereux PT, DPT, CFMT

Janessa graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BA degree in Kinesiology and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Colorado Denver. She continued to become a Certified Functional Manual Therapist through the Institute of Physical Art in Steamboat Springs, CO. Janessa is certified in trigger point dry needling, and utilizes visceral (organ) mobilization in her manual treatments when necessary. She specializes in running gait analysis with a functional whole-body approach by minimizing energy expenditure and reducing unnecessary load on the joints. Janessa is also certified in Mat and Reformer Pilates. Her passion is in treating orthopedic and sports injuries using a very hands-on approach and empowering her patients to truly understand their conditions for optimal outcomes. Janessa is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association. In her free time, she enjoys running, backpacking, snowboarding, biking, and camping.
Austin Lyons PT, DPT
Louisville/Arvada
Austin earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University in 2022. Since obtaining his degree, he has specialized in outpatient orthopedics. He is trained in Level 2 dry needling and Mulligan mobilization with movement, which he uses to enhance joint and soft tissue mobility in treating musculoskeletal impairments. While Austin is passionate about orthopedic rehabilitation and post-operative care, he is also well-versed in vestibular rehabilitation, having undergone extensive training and mentoring in this area. His expertise extends to treating balance and vestibular disorders.
Originally from Wisconsin, Austin attended the University of Kentucky before relocating to Colorado, where he has embraced the state’s active lifestyle, enjoying skiing, mountain biking, and hiking. While he loves the outdoors, he equally appreciates relaxing in the comfort of his living room.

Megan Brunell OTR, CHT

Megan graduated from Colorado State University with her degree in Occupational Therapy. She has devoted her career to treating upper extremity injuries and conditions and has 15 years of experience. She is proficient in custom splinting as well as Delta Casting. She has had several continuing education courses in Myofascial Release techniques and utilizes these inpatient treatment plans. In addition, Megan has also had special training in Lymphedema Management. She completed the lymphedema program for the LeDuc treatment method which includes manual lymph drainage and multi-layered bandaging. She has also taken a special interest in yoga and completed her Yoga Teaching Certification in 2013. She is a member of ASHT (American Society of Hand Therapists) and serves on the board of the local Hand Special Interest Group. She is very active in the community and is well respected by her peers. In her free time, she enjoys yoga, biking, running, and spending time with her family.
Shannon Caldwell OTD, OTR/L, CHT

Shannon is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with a passion for working with individuals with a variety of hand and upper extremity conditions. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Shannon found a love for the outdoors at a young age which eventually led her to Colorado where she now resides among family and friends. While her undergraduate studies in Neuroscience originally led her to the field of Occupational Therapy, Shannon has since dedicated her academic efforts towards becoming a specialist in Orthopedic injuries and conditions. Her favorite part of her job is working closely with an active community and getting people back to the things they love to do the most. Outside of work she enjoys trail running with her dog, mountain biking, backpacking, yoga and Pilates. She recently completed her second triathlon and aspires to become an XTERRA racer! She also loves traveling, scuba diving, and DIY home improvement with her fiancé Kellen.
Sheila Morton OTR, CHT

Sheila graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. She has been an Occupational Therapist for over 20 years and a Certified Hand Therapist for 15 years. She has extensive experience treating upper extremity conditions. She takes a comprehensive approach to treatment, using a variety of techniques to maximize patients' success. Sheila utilizes Active Release Technique (ART) with certain diagnoses, which can be very beneficial for many myofascial conditions. Delta and progressive casting are other techniques that are utilized in order to maximize recovery. She also performs ergonomic evaluations for individuals and corporations. She is a member of ASHT and the local Hand Special Interest Group, and she attends meeting for the Rocky Mountain Hand Surgery Society. She is currently pursuing her certification in Pilates to add another dynamic aspect to her treatment. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, running and skiing.
